 MONTEZUMA'S GOLD IS THOUGHT TO BE LOCATED IN THE HILL OF SOUTHERN UTAH , AND AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT, WE THINK THAT WE HAVE FOUND THE HIDDEN TREASURE.
THE KEY TO OPENING THE TREASURE CHEST IS SELECTING THE WINNER OF THE RACES AT THE PURGATORY CUP. IF YOU SELECT THE RIGHT HORSE, THEN YOU WILL GET AN OPPORTUNITY TO RECEIVE PART OF THE HIDDEN GOLD. IT IS RUMORED THAT SOME OF THE TREASURES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: GOLFING WEEKEND FOR TWO, TICKETS TO THE NFR, TICKETS TO THE JAZZ GAMES, TICKETS TO TUACHAN PRODUCTIONS, TICKETS TO BYU AND UTAH FOOTBALL GAMES, AND A CRUISE FOR TWO TO THE PACIFIC ISLANDS .

The Golf Scramble: If your team is one of the top three of the tournament, you will participate in sharing these prizes. |
Prizes: |
In Division One , if you took $100 from each team entry fee, and you had 32 teams registered, you would have $3200 to be divided between the top 3 teams.
That money would be divided like this: $1600 would be given in script to be use at the Golf Course and $1600 would be used to secure donated items, dinner for two, motel rooms, vacation packages. We would assign a value to each donation. The value would be 70% of retail value for each item. For instance, if a motel room had a retail value of $100, we would credit the golfer that wanted to use that room as part of his prize, $70. |

At the Horse Races: Each Spectator is given 8 free tickets when they pay for their admission into the Purgatory Cup Championship Races. These tickets allow the fan to chose their winning horse for each race. They fill out their ticket, naming their winner. If that horse wins, then their ticket and all other tickets naming that horse the winner are placed into a bucket and they are eligible to win some of Montezuma's Gold, in the form of the donated merchandise.
This program allows the donating merchants to display their merchandise, gives them name recognition, and it allows the spectators to enjoy the races, gives them some fantastic prizes, and gets them into each race and makes for a very enjoyable day for all.
Participating merchants have commented that this becomes a very dynamic way to advertise, and we work hard to have that advertising work for you. |
